Engines and gearboxes

Both offer a 1.5 petrol, a 1.5 turbo petrol and a 1.5 diesel. The Sierra's petrol makes 106 PS against the Creta's 115 PS, with a 7-speed DCA automatic where the Creta has an IVT. Its turbo petrol comes with a 6-speed AT rather than the Creta's 7-speed DCT, from the Adventure Plus Turbo at ₹18,14,000 against the Creta King's ₹19,91,300. Its diesel makes 118 PS and up to 280 Nm. Tata's brochure of November 2025 listed the Sierra's ARAI certification as pending, and the mileage figures printed since disagree, so the table gives none.
