Corrections Policy

When a figure on cretaprice.in turns out to be wrong, we correct it and add the correction to the log on this page, with the value that was shown, the corrected value and the date. A figure that moves because Hyundai changed a price or a state changed a tax is not a correction: the new figure carries its own date, and an earlier ex-showroom price stays in the price history.

How errors are reported

Write to [email protected] with the page address, the figure as the page shows it with its "as on" date, and what you believe is correct and where that is published. The contact page sets out what helps us check it fastest.

Errors we find ourselves are corrected and logged the same way.

How a correction is recorded

Both values are kept. Each entry in the log gives the date the page was corrected, the page or pages the figure appeared on, what the figure is, the value that was shown and the corrected value.

Before changing anything, we check the reported figure against the document that sets it: Hyundai's own price list for an ex-showroom price, the state's rules for road tax and registration fees, the insurance rules for a premium. If the page turns out to be right, it stays as it is, and we reply to say so. A tax figure changes only after we have confirmed the corrected rule.

Every page draws its figures from the same records, so a corrected figure changes on every page that shows it at once. Entries are never edited or removed from the log; a correction to a correction is a new entry.
