Creta Tyre Size
Creta tyre size goes with the trim: 205/65 R16 on the E, EX and EX(O); 215/60 R17 on the S(O), SX and SX Premium; 215/55 R18 on the King, King Lounge, S(O) Knight and King Knight. Hyundai's recommended pressure for the 16- and 17-inch tyres is 33 psi front and rear with up to three people on board, and 35 psi at full load.
Wheels aside, the Creta specifications by variant keep the same 1,790 mm width and 2,610 mm wheelbase on every trim.
Creta tyre size by variant
The tyre size follows each trim's wheel, so it steps up twice along the ladder: at the S(O), which moves from 16-inch steel wheels to 17-inch alloys, and at the King, which moves to 18-inch alloys. The S(O) Knight and King Knight take the 18-inch size whatever their base trim. The King keeps its 215/55 R18 tyres with any of its three engines, the 1.5 MPi, 1.5 CRDi or 1.5 Turbo GDi (Creta engine figures).

Creta tyre size 17 inch: which trims
The 215/60 R17 tyre on a 6.5J x 17 rim comes on the S(O) (black alloys), SX (diamond-cut alloys) and SX Premium (diamond-cut alloys). The cheapest Creta on 17-inch alloys is the S(O) 1.5 MPi Petrol 6-speed MT, at ₹14,20,700 ex-showroom as on 1 November 2026; the trim below it, the EX(O), keeps 16-inch steel wheels.

The Creta N Line runs 215/55 R18 tyres on diamond-cut alloys with N logo. Every Creta EV runs 215/60 R17 low rolling resistance tyres on aero alloys.
Creta tyre pressure as Hyundai recommends
33 psi (230 kPa) in all four tyres and the spare with up to three people on board, and 35 psi (240 kPa) when the car is fully loaded. These are cold pressures, set before a drive. In the cold months 3 psi (20 kPa) may be added; a tyre loses about 1 psi for every 7 °C drop in temperature, and the pressure shifts by about 2.4 psi for every kilometre of climb or descent, so recheck after a long drive into the hills.
| Model and tyres | Load | psi | kPa | bar |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creta205/65 R16 and 215/60 R17 | Normal load (up to 3 people) | 33 | 230 | 2.3 |
| Creta205/65 R16 and 215/60 R17 | Maximum load | 35 | 240 | 2.4 |

Tyre pressure on the cluster and the warning light
Every Creta has tyre pressure monitoring, one of the safety items on all trims (Creta safety rating). The current pressure of each tyre shows in the Driving Assist mode of the instrument cluster after a few minutes of driving; at a standstill with no reading yet, the cluster shows "Drive to display". The display can read a little differently from a pressure gauge, and its unit (psi, kPa or bar) is set under User Settings > Units > Tyre Pressure Unit. The low tyre pressure warning light means one or more tyres is well under-inflated: stop and inflate as soon as you can. If the light flashes for about a minute and then stays on, the monitoring system itself has a fault.
Hyundai's pressure table for the Creta covers the 205/65 R16 and 215/60 R17 sizes only. The King, King Lounge, S(O) Knight, King Knight and N Line N10 run 215/55 R18 tyres, and for them the figure is on the tyre label on the driver's side centre pillar. The Creta EV's 215/60 R17 tyres take 36 psi (250 kPa) front and rear at any load.
Creta alloy wheel sizes by trim
Alloy wheels start at the S(O): 17-inch black alloys on the S(O), 17-inch diamond-cut alloys on the SX and SX Premium, 18-inch diamond-cut alloys on the King and 18-inch matte black alloys on the King Lounge, S(O) Knight and King Knight. The E, EX and EX(O) have steel wheels: steel wheels with covers and dual-tone styled steel wheels. The cheapest Creta on 18-inch alloys is the S(O) Knight 1.5 MPi Petrol 6-speed MT, at ₹14,39,200 ex-showroom.

Creta spare wheel
Every Creta carries a full-size steel spare: a 205/65 R16 on the E, EX, EX(O), S(O), SX and SX Premium and a 215/60 R17 on the King, S(O) Knight and King Knight. On the S(O), SX, SX Premium, King, S(O) Knight and King Knight the spare is a size smaller than the wheels on the car. The spare of the King Lounge is not stated. It takes the same pressure as the running tyres, and the wheel nuts are tightened to 11-13 kgf·m (107-127 N·m). The N Line and the Creta EV carry a 215/60 R17 steel spare.
Creta wipers by trim: rear wiper and rain sensing
Every Creta has front wipers; the rear wiper and washer starts at the S(O), and rain-sensing wipers come only on the King, King Lounge and King Knight. When a blade wears out, replace it with the blade type specified for the Creta.

Should I use 32 or 35 tire pressure?
Neither, for everyday use: Hyundai's figure for a Creta on 16- or 17-inch tyres is 33 psi front and rear with up to three people on board, and 35 psi only with a full load of passengers and luggage, both measured cold. A Creta EV takes 36 psi.
What size alloy wheels are standard on a Hyundai Creta SX?
17-inch. The SX runs 215/60 R17 tyres on diamond-cut alloys; the S(O) has the same size in black alloys and the SX Premium has the same size in diamond-cut alloys.
What size tires does the Creta Knight Edition have?
215/55 R18 on 18-inch matte black alloys, on both the S(O) Knight and King Knight, with a 215/60 R17 steel spare. That 18-inch Creta tyre size is the King's too.
