The 2024 update and the Creta 3rd generation question

There is no Creta 3rd generation as on 26 October 2026: the car launched on 16 January 2024 is, in Hyundai's own words, the second generation, updated. It kept the 1.5 MPi petrol and the 1.5 CRDi diesel, added a 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol of 160 PS with a 7-speed DCT, and launched at ₹10,99,900 to ₹19,99,900 ex-showroom. On 15 October 2025 Hyundai said it would launch 26 cars in India by the 2029-30 financial year, 7 of them new names, with hybrid among the powertrains; it named no Creta. The next one has no date: on 30 July 2026 Hyundai said it would announce the Creta's full model change "at the right time" (next-generation Creta announcements).
